Bathroom 2026: less coolness, more nature. Why is wood returning to modern interiors?
For many years, the modern bathroom was associated with coolness. White tiles, glass, chrome, straight lines and as few visible objects as possible.
Today, this way of thinking is clearly changing.
A contemporary bathroom can still be minimalist, but it does not have to be austere. Increasingly, it features natural wood, warm colors, soft lines and objects whose form is just as important as their function.
The bathroom is no longer merely a functional room. It is meant to be a place where the day begins well and ends just as well.
And that is precisely why even such an inconspicuous element as towel rack starts to matter.
Bathroom trends 2026 – nature instead of cool minimalism
One of the strongest trends in contemporary interiors is the return to materials that can be seen and felt, and that cannot be perfectly replicated.
Wood. Stone. Ceramics. Linen. Textured fabrics.
Instead of perfectly smooth, cool surfaces, we choose materials with their own character.
This shift is especially visible in bathrooms. Natural wood is no longer limited to cabinets or countertops; it also appears in details such as shelves, hooks, handles and racks.
This is not about creating a rustic interior.
Quite the opposite.
Oak paired with simple architecture, light stoneware tiles, microcement, stone, or black or steel fixtures looks remarkably contemporary.
This balance between simplicity and nature is one of the reasons why Japandi and organic modern styles work so well in bathrooms.
The end of the perfectly straight line
Just a few seasons ago, minimalist design meant almost exclusively right angles.
Today, interiors are becoming softer.
Oval mirrors, rounded washbasins, soft furniture edges, arches and organic forms make a space feel calmer and more natural.
It is a small change that can completely transform the way an interior is perceived.
This direction became the inspiration for one of our latest designs.
A rack that was not meant to be just a rack
When designing our new oak towel rack, we did not want to create yet another simple bar mounted to the wall.
We wanted an object that would be functional while also becoming part of the interior design.
That is why its shape is gently rounded, with the ends flowing smoothly into the base.
There are no random elements or decorations added merely to attract attention.
Instead, there is natural oak, simplicity, and a distinctive form.
Part piece of furniture.
Part architectural detail.
Part small wooden sculpture on the wall.
Wood that doesn’t have to be perfect
We make every hanger from a single piece of solid oak.
Not from particleboard.
Not from veneer.
Not from several layers glued together to look like wood.
That makes every piece look a little different.
In one piece, the grain will be calm and almost parallel. In another, more pronounced. One section of oak may be lighter, another slightly darker.
And that is precisely the point.
Natural wood is not a material that should look identical in every home.
Its subtle differences are a reminder that the object did not come out of a production mould, but was made from material created by nature.
Beautiful form is not enough. The hanger must also work well
When designing objects for everyday use, we always return to one question:
will it be comfortable to use?
That is why a stainless steel tube is located inside the wooden structure of our hanger stainless steel tube.
The towel rests on it.
As a result, the damp fabric does not rest directly against the wooden base, space remains between the material and the wall, and air can circulate more freely.
This is one of those details that is almost invisible at first glance.
But it is precisely solutions like these that later determine everyday comfort.
A home spa doesn’t need a marble bathroom
The term “home spa” is appearing more and more often in interior design trends.
That does not mean, however, that the bathroom has to be huge, have a freestanding bathtub, and look like a five-star hotel.
Much simpler things create the atmosphere.
A soft towel.
Warm light.
Scent.
The natural texture of wood.
A few things we genuinely love.
And visual calm.
Sometimes, replacing several random plastic or metal accessories with one well-designed object makes a bigger difference than an expensive renovation.
One design, two installation methods
We also know that not every bathroom offers the same freedom.
In a new apartment, we can easily plan the installation location before the tiles are laid. In a finished bathroom, the prospect of drilling into porcelain tiles costing several hundred złoty per square metre can effectively cool your enthusiasm for making changes.
That’s why we prepared the same design in two versions.
Classic bolt-mounted design
This solution is for people who primarily value durable and stable mounting.
The towel rail is mounted to the wall using wall plugs and screws, and the set also includes a template to make it easier to accurately mark the drilling points.
It is available in two lengths:
35 cm – convenient by the washbasin and for hand towels,
and
48 cm – suitable for a larger towel.

Installation without drilling
The second version was created for people who do not want to drill holes in tiles.
In this case, we use a mounting system consisting of 3M tape and dedicated adhesive, designed for smooth, properly prepared surfaces.
This is a good solution for porcelain tiles, ceramics, and glass, among other surfaces, as well as anywhere we want to preserve the tiles without drilling.
The form remains exactly the same.
The only thing that changes is how the towel rail connects to the wall.

What goes best with an oak towel rail?
Oak has a major advantage – it can adapt to a wide variety of interiors.
With white and warm beige
This is the most tranquil combination. Light walls, natural oak, cream-colored towels, and a few ceramic accessories create a light, almost hotel-like atmosphere.
With stone and porcelain tiles
The natural grain of the wood beautifully breaks up the uniform surfaces of large-format slabs. It looks especially good with travertine, light stone, and sand-colored tiles.
With gray and microcement
Here, wood plays a different role – it warms up the interior and keeps a minimalist bathroom from feeling sterile.
With black accessories
Black highlights the grain of the oak and gives the entire arrangement a more graphic character.
With greenery
Olive, sage, and muted green shades combined with natural wood create an interior strongly inspired by nature.
Fewer things. Better things.
This is probably one of our favorite directions in contemporary interior design.
We do not need an ever-growing number of decorations.
We need objects that are useful every day, but beautiful enough that we do not want to hide them.
Towel rail.
Shelf.
Hook.
Toilet paper holder.
The simplest objects can shape an interior’s character when the material and form have been carefully considered.
